This is the first cake for one of my husband's employees' birthday. It's my first purse cake and I had a few problems, but it came out alright.
Lemon Orange Sour Cream Cake, filled & iced with Lemon Cream Cheese icing, covered in pink Cream Cheese Fondant. Edible pearls and Chocolate Plastique accents.

No, I cut it out of chocolate plastique.

Cream cheese fondant? Never heard of that one. Sounds delicious! The purse looks good

aww, it's so cute! how did you form the cake? is it a certain pan, or sculpted? boy, how i wish i could make something like that!

I took the 8 inch Wilton hexagon pan, cut it in half from point to point, filled it and covered it in frosting. Let it set up and than covered it in fondant.

Oh and Cream Cheese Fondant is really just MMF with Cream Cheese flavorings.

I'm finishing the Fist of Rock cake today. I've been struggling to mold the fist of rock out of purely white chocolate so RICE KRISPIES TO THE RESCUE!!!
Rachel

Oh and the Cream Cheese flavoring = LorAnn's Cheesecake Oil.

I haven't tested it to see if it cuts down on the sweetness, but I doubt it. I was going to make some other fondant recipe but I ran out of time.
