I want to do a pricing chart for my cookies, with tracings of different sized cookie cutters as examples. Now for the dumb question.......Ready, drum roll please........... icon_redface.gif which way do you measure a cookie cutter to decide it's size......width, height, diagonal.......what if it is a short height but a long width.... icon_redface.gif - ok, stop laughing now! LOL!! icon_lol.gif

Don't go through all that work. Measure the longest dimension, then charge that way. For instance, let's say you have a dog bone cookie cutter that measures 3 inches long and 1-1/2 inches wide. Since the longest side in this example is 3 inches, you charge for a 3 inch cookie. If you start measuring every little detail you will drive yourself crazy, and have way more information than a customer needs.

I dont think this is a dumb question at all. I was trying to figure out the same thing. My husband was trying to help me figure out the square inches of each one. icon_confused.gif
It was crazy, plus a customer is just going to get way confused.

Not a dumb question! icon_biggrin.gif

I agree w/playingwithsugar. Charge by the measurement of the longest side. That's how I've always done it. thumbs_up.gif
