I need help with what I think is going to be a disaster. I'm making a b-day cake this weekend with lillies on top. I've made all the lillies and they have been drying for about 5 days now-I started to peel the foil off of the lily but the leaves seem to be breaking-I stopped after two because my fear is that all will break-any thoughts, tips?????

Please help!!!!

As an instructor I tell my students to peel the foil off very carefully to prevent breakage.

Also be careful not to make your petals to thin as this will cause breakage.

I wish I could tell you more. I still have some breakage when I peel the foil off mine.

For storing the unused flowers I never remove the foil til I am ready to use the flowers.
