I took the three Wilton classes a couple months ago. I felt it was time to start getting my name out there. So I donated a few cakes to the local church's bake sale. A lady from the church called me last night and wanted 3 6 inch circle cakes for the second weekend in Nov. I charged $15 a piece, is that too much, or too little. I am kinda nervous but totally excited about it.

thanks for reading
Gwen

It would depend for me on how much detail your going to put in to it. I charge based on the design, and not so much on the size. I know it is bad, but that's me. When I do charge, people always give me more than I ask for because they really like the cake. You do not want to charge too little that you make no profit.

Sounds like a fair price. I think the more you do this, the more comfortable you will get with your pricing! Congrats on your first order too!!
