I am going to make a birthday cake for a lady at work, she is the head of the hospice program a volunteer that just don't stop and has a family. She is just you all around really nice person. Does anyone have any ideas?

how about a round cake, with a basket weave. Then you can cover the top with beautiful flowers. Maybe add a butterfly if you have time.

You could also pipe lattice around the sides of the cake and put flowers on top...

How about using the lyrics to the theme song for "Golden Girls"?:
