The Sam's cake is NOT from scratch, so you shouldn't really compare it to a cake that is... (Mix cakes have additives that scratch cakes don't.)

Why mix cakes will always be perceived as being more moist than scratch:

A Better White Scratch Cake has 46 reviews with a rating of 4.04 out of 5 so some CC members obviously thought highly of it. icon_smile.gif

But I do have to admit. Sam's club cake is really really good, I mean the one I've tasted. It tastes like something you would find in a high end pastry shop.

Yes I know Sams recieves thier cake mix already formed ,,, I went to a convention { taste and trade } and when they do make them fresh and actually put some effort into it that cake was THE BOMB additives or not . Now back to the ?????? I want to find ANY White cake recipe that is actually worth baking I have tried many from all sorts of sites and yet to find one that tastes like the bakery dose it { scratch for me dose'nt taste any better than the Doctored Box mix { DH - WHITE added a bit of sourcream and flavorings } Please don't throw the WASC at me I tried t that as well .

The WASC is very popular on CC.... You got my best shot when I recommended it to you.

Good luck on your quest. icon_smile.gif
