Friday Faves: Spring, spring, spring!

Pink sugar roses and cute gumpaste kittens; vintage tea parties and warm scents from the kitchen; three-layer cakes covered in buttercream: these are a few of our favorite things!

As editors of Cake Central magazine, we come across so many awesome, inspiring things while working. From users to cake creations to wedding inspiration to cool new products, we want to share a few of our favorite finds with you every week.

Here are this week’s Friday faves:

KarasCoutureCakes has created a unique design for her “spring, stones and chocolate ganache” cake. I love the bright colors and the clever use of garden stones with different impressions and paintings.

This cake is really fantastic. Yanis struck a perfect balance with her koi fish size, colors and placement on this cake. The fish are beautifully painted and sculpted.

I’m obsessed with this Dr. Seuss cake by sweetpea0613! I love how many different Seuss stories are featured. The design is immaculate and the colors are so vibrant!

This garden-themed birthday cake is so lovely. The design is really sweet and it makes me want to frolic in the garden with all those flowers and critters! It was SherryWebb’s first time modeling the little creatures, and we love the bright spirit the cake conveys.

Andi’s Faves

These cupcakes are so clever! The cake board and arrangement pasterita designed take it to a whole new level. The sweet little birds on tree branches are just delightful.

Pink and grey can be both sophisticated and playful, and Tess0617 found the perfect balance of the two on this cake. I also admire the way she mixed stylized and realistic looks on the flowers she created.
