Friday Faves: Purple, Pink and Pastel

Pink sugar roses and cute gumpaste kittens; vintage tea parties and warm scents from the kitchen; three-layer cakes covered in buttercream: these are a few of our favorite things!
As editors of Cake Central magazine, we come across so many awesome, inspiring things while working. From users to cake creations to wedding inspiration to cool new products, we want to share a few of our favorite finds with you every week.

Here are our faves of the week:

Jackie’s Faves

I know I highlighted this beautiful cake by CakeWhizz in a recent newsletter, but I just love this cake! From the modern purple ombre to just the right amount of flowers and gold embellishments.

The details on patisseriejaja’s turntable cake are delightful. The wood grain is great and each little knob and switch are so much fun. You can almost hear the music!

Justine’s Faves

This delicate cake by SteelPennyCakes is the perfect use of soft pink. The wrapped fondant layers with pink edges are simply lovely, as are the flowers with their perfect pink gradient.

This is a great cupcake bouquet from Jasmin32! The flowers are gorgeous, the presentation is great and the colors are perfect for springtime.

Andi’s Faves

I can’t stop staring at this ark cake made by Cake Canvas. Every time I look at it I see something new, and the different expressions on the animals faces crack me up. Just look at all the detail!

Suzannem5’s pastel desserts are so delightful. They have a wonderful vintage feel and coordinate with each other perfectly.

Thank you so much for featuring my purple cake again. I'd been absent from CC for a couple of years and what a welcome. Much appreciate the love for my cake :)
