Friday Faves: Ponies, Cookies & Christmas

Pink sugar roses and cute gumpaste kittens; vintage tea parties and warm scents from the kitchen; three-layer cakes covered in buttercream: these are a few of our favorite things!

As editors of Cake Central magazine, we come across so many awesome, inspiring things while working. From users to cake creations to wedding inspiration to cool new products, we want to share a few of our favorite finds with you every week.

Here are this week’s Friday faves:

Jackie’s Faves:

Growing up, I always wanted a colorful My Little Pony cake, and these cakes by loveyourcake and MacsMom perfectly capture all the sparkles and magic I remember as a child.

Justine’s Faves:

It was love at first sight when I found this unique cake by ThreeLittleBlackbirds. It is beautifully painted with a sweet bird motif, and the flavor– white chocolate and lavender cake with raspberry curd and white chocolate ganache– sounds amazing!

This Santa’s toy shop cookie by SugarRushCustomCookies reminds me of those lovely candle holders that come out at Christmas– the ones shaped like snow-covered shops and whose windows glow when you light the candle. This cookie perfectly conveys the warmth and cheer of the season with its exquisite painting.

Andi’s Faves:

I adore this cake covered in sewing notions made by rosiemaguire. It’s a sweet, personalized birthday cake that I’m sure the recipient loved.

I couldn’t help but smile when I saw TheSweetestTiers’ “significant prize” cookies. A Christmas Story is one of my favorite holiday movies, and these cookies perfectly captured the humor of it.
