Tony Ward Inspired Cake
It was a real honor to be invited again to create a cake for the Cake Central magazine! And this time for the Fassion issue! <3 The cake was inspired in this Tony Ward dress. I made isomalt gems and used sugar beads and pearls to create the effects similares to the ones in the dress. Also wanted to introduce a gravity defying element so I created the ring structure supporting the top of the cake.

Rhythmic Gymnastics - Sport Cakes For Peace Collaboration
I’ve always been fascinated seeing rhythmic gymnastics presentations, especially the ribbons with the beautiful figures they make while the gymnasts do their acrobatics. When I decided to organize this collaboration, I immediately thought of this sport and of course I had to make the gymnast “fly” somehow. :D After seeing several videos of presentations and competitions, this position was one of the most pleasing to me and I decided to try to reproduce it, defying gravity. Please check all the fabulous pieces in the following links and don’t forget to leave your like on the page. Sports For Peace - Sport Cakes For Peace Collaboration
Sport Cakes for Peace is a cake collaboration created by Elisabete Caseiro from @BetySugarland – Cake Design by Elisabete Caseiro to celebrate the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, April 6th, 2017. On August 23 of 2013, the UN proclaimed that the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace would be celebrated April 6 every year. This day is a celebration of the power of sport to drive social change, community development and to foster peace and understanding. This date also marks the opening of the first modern Olympic Games in Athens in 1896. This was an open collaboration and everyone who was interested could participate creating a Cake, Cookies or Sugar Piece representing this theme. At the end we were 50 cake decorators from 22 countries all over the world and we tried to cover a wide range of sports. It was a real pleasure to coach this wonderful team! Please check all the fabulous pieces in the following links and don’t forget to leave your like on the page. I created this cake to represent the collaboration Sport Cakes for Peace. This cake was my way of representing the theme of collaboration. With various sports on its faces and, of course, the peace dove of our logo at the top. Somehow it was a challenge because it is a bit different from what I usually do and the gaps between the various parts of the cake presented some difficulty requiring a rigorous planning. I hope you like it. "academic Tuna Guy" - Music Around The World - Cake Notes
Welcome to Music Around the World – Cake Notes! On October 1st the world celebrated International Day of Music! Music Around the World – Cake Notes is a cake collaboration of 41 cake and sugar artists from all over the world, representing 24 countries and presenting the music made around the world. You can see all the creations together in our gallery, as well as the individual albums with details of every piece. For each piece there is a video that illustrates somehow the presented piece, so you can not only appreciate the beauty of the creation but also the music itself. A collaboration to appreciate with all your senses… <3 Page: https://www.facebook.com/MusicAroundtheWorldCakeNotes/ Gallery: https://www.facebook.com/MusicAroundtheWorldCakeNotes/photos/?tab=album&album_id=560657390789850 This was one of my cakes. I wanted to make a cake that would represent my countrry, Portugal. A _Tuna_ is a musical group, that consists mainly of string instruments, and usually also percussion instruments like bass drum and tambourine. The Tuna can be presented as a mere instrumental ensemble (its first origin) and in the version voice and instrument (currently in vogue). This work represents the "Academic Tuna" a group of higher education students. One of the figures that stands out in an academic tuna, and that always fascinated me in my university student days, is the Tambourine player (_Pandeireta_) which sometimes presents an almost acrobatic show. This caricature is my tribute to portuguese "Tunas" and excellent "Pandeitetas" that exist in our universities. ! http://res.cloudinary.com/cd/f_auto/Picture6_mdjj8y.jpg ! ! http://res.cloudinary.com/cd/f_auto/Picture10_gnzja6.jpg ! ! http://res.cloudinary.com/cd/f_auto/Picture26_c0roiq.jpg ! ! http://res.cloudinary.com/cd/f_auto/Picture27_h5wq97.jpg ! In this video is a performance of the Coimbra University Tuna with a great tambourine players (Pandeiretas) exhibition. I’m really grateful to all the fabulous artists that accepted to join me in this musical collaboration. I’m really glad to be at the side of all this talent!

Flying Dragon (How To Train Your Dragon)
Hiccup is riding his dragon Toothless who’s flying over the see. The dragon is 100% cake and is standing only in one of his front legs. The aproximate measures are 80 cm x 70cm x 50cm This was definetly the most gravity defying cake I’ve ever done, because of the position and the length of the dragon, and also because of his opened wings. It was a big chalenge but I love the result. I hope you like it too…

I Made This Cake For A Competition Devoted To The 20Th Anniversary Of Disneyland Parismy Disney Won The 2Nd Prize This Cake Was Defi
I made this cake for a competition devoted to the 20th anniversary of Disneyland Paris. “My Disney” won the 2nd Prize . This cake was definitely the biggest challenge I’ve had to date and I felt a great satisfaction to finish it. I tried to pay homage to Disneyland Paris in all its magnitude. In it are represented the Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park , with some of its major attractions, from the charts, buildings, through the carousels and characters, ending, as might be expected, with the figure of Mickey that symbolizes all Disney magic. The cake was 2m tall! I hope that you enjoy it as much as I liked to do it!
