Thank You - Harvest Cupcakes
Thank you cupcakes for the volunteer team. The idea was from Matthew 9:37-38 “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." This was my way of saying thank you for being a part of the harvest and investing in the lives of others.

Easter - Poured His Love
The Easter Cake this year. It started with the idea that he was pouring out his love by shedding his blood on the cross for us. I took that image and made a heart representing each person who joined us for Easter. Then I coloured white chocolate ganache and poured it over the cake so it would overflow onto the hearts. [I poured too much and it completely enveloped the hearts at first. I had to clean up the hearts to make it more visually appealing, but that's what He does. Jesus is there to completely envelop us with his love and wash our hearts (purify us from our sins)]. The back of the Easter cake references a song, "Before the Throne of God Above." The first verse is: Before the throne of God above I have a strong and perfect plea. A great high priest whose name is Love Who ever lives and pleads for me. My name is graven on His hands, My name is written on His heart. I know that while in Heaven He stands No tongue can bid me thence depart. The great high priest is Jesus who died to pay the penalty for my sins.

Coloring Book Cake
Our Easter cake in 2017. I wanted worship the Lord through art. The idea for this cake came from three couple sources the currently popular colouring books, seeing a colouring book cake, and a song. The song was "Amazing Love." Here are a portion of the lyrics: I'm forgiven because you were forsaken I'm accepted, you were condemned I'm alive and well Your spirit is within me Because you died and rose again Amazing love, how can it be? That you, my king. would die for me Amazing love, I know it's true Its my joy to honor you Amazing love how can it be? That my king would die for me Amazing love I know it's true Its my joy to honor you In all I do I honor you You are my king You are my king Jesus, You are my king Jesus, You are my king

Lego Birthday Cake
I thought this cake would be simple to whip out. All those knobs on top of the Legos took so much time! Each knob had to be punched out with an icing tip and then "glued" on. My initial plan was to make the Lego figures, but I ran out of time after underestimating the time for the standard blocks. Everything except the people were handmade

Easter - The Greatest Day In History
This was my Easter cake in 2015. Easter is my favourite holiday, and a few years ago I decided to make an annual cake. This cake was in celebration of Jesus' death and resurrection, and his work on the cross. On the side of the cake I used hearts with crosses on them to symbolize people who have put their trust in Jesus to forgive them. I put the hearts on a clothes line because He can wash away our sins. The idea for the cake came from Tim Hughes song, Happy Day. Here are some of the lyrics: The greatest day in history Death is beaten, You have rescued me Sing it out, Jesus is alive The empty cross, the empty grave Life eternal, You have won the day Shout it out, Jesus is alive He's alive Oh, happy day, happy day You washed my sin away Oh, happy day, happy day I'll never be the same Forever I am changed

The Seasons Of Life
This was my cake submission for the fair. The category was the good things in life. I've been thinking a lot about the seasons of life, so I made this my cake. The accent colour was suppose to be kelly green. I had so much fun working on all of the little details of the cake. I came in 2nd in the category.
