Beer Bottle Cake
The beer bottle is made out of Isomalt—my first time to work with it. It wasn’t as daunting as I imagined it would be. I had some breakage but fortunately, was able to salvage it ;) The personalized beer label is printed in edible paper, and Flannigan is the last name of the celebrant :)

Garden-Fairy Themed Cake For Kamille
A Cake I finished in record time, 6 hours… :) ... What saved me really was using candy clay (wilton candy melts + corn syrup) per Jessicakes blog recipe. There was virtually very little drying time and I was able to attach immediately to the cake. PLUS, kids were able to eat it (vs. gum paste or fondant mixed with tylose). Plus, they have such bright colors now I didn’t have to color them. Design based on Pink Cake Box + the birthday girl’s invitation Plaque Cuter from Not Just Cakes By Annie

Bear-Themed Party Cake
This is my daughter's cake. She had a build-a-bear party. Truly a special cake because she designed it based on her invitation. I am a proud momma. :) The top tier and cake board is hand-painted then adorned with candy clay flowers. I used the name plaque cutter and chevron cutters from Not Just cakes by Annie. The candelabra candle holder is a $1 find from Walmart :)

A Very Golden 50Th Birthday
Edible Golden Shoe Cake Topper Made for such a lively, vivacious, elegant lady who knows how to live life to the fullest. She gave me a photo of her shoe and I replicated it. Her theme of the party ... Living the Life like it's Golden. Needless to say, I was covered with edible glitter when I was done with this cake :) Thanks for looking!

This is an 8X4 chocolate cake, chocolate ganache with White Chocolate IMBC. My first time using the upside down method (from jessicakes blog) for both the ganache and the fondant! Very exciting, to say the least. LOL Painting those leopard prints took me over an hour to do! :)

Constrictor Boa Cake
This cake was for such a sweet kid turning 9 y/0, Ian, who was absolutely positive that I could make a cake snake that looked like a Red Tailed Constrictor Boa. Such faith in me ?and such pressure! LOL There wasn?t much materials or tutorials online that I could find to make this, but I did have a giant photograph of the snake in its natural habitat which I tried to copy. I also tried to incorporate his name in the scene setting. The boy freaked out when he saw it? and his momma almost cried ? which, I guess was good???! :D

Michael Jackson Cake
How cool is it that a 4-year old girl wants a Michael Jackson cake? :) I was so thrilled to make this cake... not to mention belting out MJ songs the whole time I was making it. :D For the first time, I also tried to make my own colored sugar (by following the tutorial I found here at CC). Although I added a bit of Disco Dust to it to make it more glittery. It was fun! Thanks for looking!

Princess Goes Off To College
A Going-Away-To-College cake for a Pretty Princess. A few months back, I made her 18th birthday cake. Now, she is off to college? and am so honored to be asked to do her cake again. About a week before the cake was due, the mom emailed me and asked if I can do a Day Lily ). It is a very special flower because her Dad (Brianna?s grandpa) grew it for her. She sent me a photo of the Day Lily and tried as best as I can to copy it. This one with no cutters, all free hand. :) She teared up when she saw that I was able to incorporate it. (And that?s why we do what we do!) :D

Pancakes And Coffee, Anyone?
Here is a cake I did last week for a teacher's birthday. This is a Brown Butter Cake with Salted Caramel IMBC . This teacher is a huge Phineas and Pherb fan ... and loves pancakes. Truly loved by her students. I used a tutorial from Royal Bakery on how to make the pancake cake. The fork and plate are gumpaste ... and looks exactly like our plate and fork because that what I used to mold it ... LOL Strawberries and Blueberries are real.

Ombre Flower Power
My first cake for 2012! The client wanted the top tier to be all in buttercream because it was going to be the smash cake. So, we decided to do the ombre rosettes. The ombre theme was then carried through the diamond pattern in the bottom tier. The flower design was inspired by the invitation, as seen on one of the pictures. The big butterfly was cut with the Cricut cake (my first time to use it!) :) I was told that the celebrants favorite toy is her pink rubber duckie, hence I made it as a topper. Yes, she is wearing pearls :)
