My Kids First Cake
The first cake my kids teamed up together to make, Valentines 2011. Mom helped with dangerous parts but they did the majority of it. Daughter took care of the strawberries (11), my two youngest made the cake itself and took care of the base icing(3 &5), and my middle child (5) took care of the fine details. Not bad for a first time for the kids, a very proud mom.
Red Velvet Cake
Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Icing. Splashed with crushed pecans and topped with Chocolate Covered Strawberries. This was a secondary birthday cake for my daughter last year. Her punkette one went to school. This was for the party afterwards. (This is true red velvet cake, not chocolate with red food coloring. I get rather nasty at people trying to pass of RVC recipes that are not really RVC.)
Strawberry & Banana Shortcake
A simple strawberry and banana shortcake I made for the family one day. Created using my Almond Spritz Cake recipe and fresh fruit.
Picture of the various Christmas Cookies I made for the family and friends for the 2010 Christmas Season. Sugar and Spritz.
Who Lives In A Pineapple Under The Sea?
Needless to say my middle child is a huge Spongebob fan. All figures and decorations are homemade from scratch and are hand molded or piped. Cake base is Red Velvet, well it is actually sea green velvet, lol. The Pineapple is chocolate and was carved before doing a triple color start piping to give it that prickly feel.
3, 2, 1 Show Us The Hole In The Wall!
My youngest baby is a Hole In The Wall FANATIC! He adores that game show and if it isn't on TV, it is on a youtube playlist on repeat. So for his last birthday, 2011, my husband suggested a Hole In The Wall themed birthday cake. So I decided to make the whole game show stage this time. Created a base stage with a pool and a 3d wall like in the game. The cake was a huge success but I have no idea how it turned out in taste... We were never allowed to eat it. Anytime we got close to cutting it he flipped out!
