Frankencat
The inspiration for this cake came from a cake featured here by megscakegallery. This was made as a birthday cake for a friend who absolutely loves Halloween and cats. This gave her the best of both as far as she was concern! I used the Durable Cake for 3D and Wedding Cakes recipe from here as well. Cake interior colors were neon pink, bright orange and neon green. The cake is covered in marshmallow fondant. Dr. Frankencat is made of gumpaste. This was my first time using fondant under fondant for molding features, which fun to do. The head is not carved as well as it should have been, but I am still learning. Anyway, I took a lot of pictures while constructing it, but oddly enough I forgot to take one with the neck bolts that went on last! Hopefully I can get a good one from my friend to post later.

Easter Cake With Chocolate Bunnies And Butterflies
An experimental Easter cake. New red velvet recipe and crusting butter cream. The BC did not crust properly so I could not get it very smooth at all - need to experiment more. Attempted Chantilly lace - it does cramp your hand! 2nd time with chocolate butterflies, but these are smaller than my first ones. 1st time double sided piped chocolate bunnies. 1st time using cupcake liner to make chocolate grass. Everyone loved and enjoyed it, though it could have been much-much better all around had I had more time - misjudge timing along with guests and dinner preparation -ugh-

Giant Cupcake
This was made using the giant cupcake pan by Wilton. Fondant was used on the bottom and some of the flowers. The bright pink flowers are made from modeling chocolate. The butterflies are made of chocolate. This was an experimental cake - new cake recipe, 1st time with modeling chocolate, 1st time butterflies, and new butter cream recipe. Still learning and tweaking things to get better.

Flushed Away Slug Cake
My third fondant cake, and what a challenge it was! Had not dealt with height before, and learned about support. Large pieces of fondant are challeging to handle, and does not like to be seamed either. However, the more practice the better I will get, right? Eyes and eye stalks are made of rice krispie treat covered in fonant. I may not be good at this, but I am having fun!

Chocolate Covered Ant Cake
My first chocolate marshamallow fondant cake. I made CMMF as it was recommended if needing black fondant. The melted and powdered chocolate changed the texture and flexibility. This was a bday cake for a family friend who always talks about eating chocolate covered ants -at least this one is appetizing!

Rainbow Fish Cake
My first marshmallow fondant covered cake. I enjoyed working with the MMF, it was easy with which to work, manipulate, and create various colors. The individual scales are purposely tie-dyed/marbled in apperance, which cannot be seen easily in the pictures. This was made for our niece as her b-day cake.
