Dinosaur Cake
This was for a first birthday. Smash cake was a nest, with dino eggs. Birthday cake was all white cake, with buttercream icing for the grassy area, and rolled buttercream for the dino. got my inspiration from debbie Brown's dino in her cake book, although mine didn't turn out the best. LOL Thank you to all of you who helped me out. I wanted to do more with the smash cake, but I just didn't have the time. Thanks for looking!

Welcome!
We had a new neighborhood get together. (lots of desserts, therefore the reason for the small cake). The board is covered in royal icing. The chocolate cake (the flower pot) is covered in rolled buttercream, and the purple flowers are buttercream. The lettering is also rolled buttercream. I added cake balls to the "mat" also. BTW - I told the neighborhood sales rep that the flower pot fell over and the flowers fell out - she bought it! LOL!!!

My Niece's Castle Cake
My niece turned 13 - hence the 13 on the star. The cake was marble - as requested by my SIL. Fondant everything...except the vines, they were BC. This "cake" was made of 3 cake mixes...way more than needed, but to get a good castle "look" I thought I needed them. My SIL has 2 teenage boys, so it'll get eaten. LOL! Thanks for looking!

Birdy Cake
Marble cake, BC icing, fondant birds, and tootsie roll nest. Thanks to Button-Moon for the inspiration! This was for my IL's anniversay - they LOVE birds, especially bluebirds, so when I saw Button-Moons, I knew I had to try it. Didn't come out the same, but then, they never do! LOL! Thanks for looking!

My Pumpkin Cake - Before And After
Well, this is my pumpkin cake. LOL...I was in a rush and couldn't wait for the icing to crust, not too mention a sick 2 yr old clinging to me! Then I had about an hour drive. By the time I got to the party and got the cake on the table, it looked HORRID! Probably b/c I forgot to use anything to hold the layers together. Amatuer! LOL! But it was a great learning experience! Thank you to all who helped me with either the cake, or the icing. I really appreciate it!
