I actually gave this cake away for a fund raiser, and my friend won the raffle. It was only for a 5 hour investment, and I went way over that, but, I tried to keep it simple which is why it's a bit plain. I just didn't have the time this week to invest a lot of detail so here it is..

Frog Cake

Frog cake for my sis-in-law. I was feeling under the weather this week, and that combined with trying a new recipe were nearly disasterous . I was not pleased with this - but luckily the birthday girl loved it.. I almost didn't upload it, but, in the interest of full disclosure, LOL, I thought I'd show the poor results along with the ones I feel better about. So far haven't been thrilled with any of them, but am learning! :) thanks for looking

I modeled this after a cake I saw on "Jessicas Cakes" I am fairly certain she has a profile here too, but I don't know her User name! I OBVIOUSLY am no where NEAR as good as she is. but for an amateur attempt (I've only done a handful of cakes), I think it came out OK. thanks!

dinosaur cake - first cake with a armature - only my 2nd-3rd cake that would be more than just the average duncan hines with frosting type cake. Still learning, had some obvious flaws, but not a terrible result for my lack of experience.

Elephant Made Out Of Fondant Pic 1

ok this is my first ever fondant figure - I had made fondant for the first time about 2 months ago and had some left over that I thought I'd make something with it on a whim. I had so many positive comments, I actually started to believe I could do something bigger and am attempting a 3-d cake - (ever jump in to the water an pray you can swim - thats what I feel like with the upcoming cake.. ) anyhow - what are your honest opinions - from people who do this regularly?
