My first carved cake! This was for a baby shower where the sex of the baby was unknown, but the mother-to-be wanted bright colors. The bottle is RKT and fondant, and the pacifier is gumpaste. A big thank-you to the lady that has the diaper bag tutorial on her website!
Mustang, plaque, and letters cut out of white modeling chocolate. The mustang was then shaved to sculpt in the layered look for the legs as well as the rounded detail on the shoulders and face.
Hand-wired silk flower sprays on this one, it was easy to put together. Each spray was accented with glass crystals to compliment the crystals on the heart topper. A little texture was added with white polka-dots as well.
A podium and gavel for a debate club enthusiast on her 18th birthday! Dark chocolate cake, with peanut butter and Reese's cups filling, chocolate buttercream, and overlaid with modeling chocolate!
Strawberry-filled lemon cake with lemon buttercream and fondant. The daisies almost perfectly match the colors in the brides bouquet and are made of fondant. She just wanted a small cake for cutting, and served everyone matching cupcakes that were part of the display. I also brushed white pearl shimmer dust all over the cake and it looked like the satin of her wedding dress.
This was just trying out a new frosting and white cake recipe before using it for a paid customer. Of course I couldn't leave it white, so we had an Easter egg for desert! This was the first time I had worked with Americolor gel coloring instead of Wilton as well, and they work great.

This winter castle cake was for a child's birthday, right before Christmas. The kids enjoyed all the candy on the cake!
Royal Icing tiara painted with silver luster dust, and isomalt jewels. This was my first time using either technique, and the customer was very happy with her cake. I got the template for the tiara in the sketch galleries, a big thank you to the original poster of the pattern.
