Birthday cake for the daughter of a dear friend of mine who loves the Little House TV series. I wanted to make a furry Jack, but was too tired and couldn't make it work. :( I guess every cake has its disappointment, huh?
Done in pulled-dot/petal style. Had to have something to work for a combined birthday for male and female friends, hence the fall colors. Homemade pumpkin cake with homemade tinted cream cheese icing. This was my first try at the petal style of icing. Lots of fun, but took a lot longer because I had to do each round separately instead of doing vertical rows of dots. Fondant accents. Thanks for looking!
Cake for my Father-in-Law's 70th birthday. He is a crossword fanatic. All is edible, except the sentiments on the coffee cup. I'm super grateful for online crossword puzzle makers, or this would have taken a LOT longer than it did. ;)
Made for the daughter of a friend of mine. Idea from jcakehomemade.blogspot.com. 10" double layer and 8" double layer cakes. My first time covering an entire cake in fondant. *whew* I seriously underestimated that challenge!

Carved from a loaf pan, with mini-loaf pans cut for feet. Iced in buttercream, covered in fondant with fondant spots, ears, eyes. Dog food is Whoppers candy. Inspiration from cake by DianeLM.
