Giant Polka Dot Cupcake
My daughter had a Cupcake decorating party, but it's not a birthday party without a main birthday cake, so I finally used my silicone Giant Cupcake Mould, which I received almost a year ago! Really pleased with the result, easy to ice - bit of a cheat really, but all in all, very pleased - just a shame I forgot to take a decent picture!!!

How To Train Your Dragon
Since watching this film last year, my Son (was 4) has been obsessed with Dragons, and had requested a Dragon cake for his 5th birthday, so it only made sense to try to re-create, 'Toothless' the dragon from the film. It was a little tricky, as I created all of his 'bits' seperately, which made him very delicate once constructed. However he managed to make it to the party in once piece!

Butterfly Run Out Cake
My friend wanted a special cake for her Mum's 50th birthday. She likes butterflies and pink & yellow. So I decided to try my hand at run-out Butterflies. They were a little chunky, but once I added them to the cake, the effect was really pleasing. Everyone enjoyed the cake...which was chocolate, with a ganache filling.

Woody's Cowboy Hat Cake
I was asked to make a cake for a lady who is a huge fan of Toy Story, and Woody in particular. The brief was to make a small cake, enough for two people, in the shape of a cowboy hat, with Woody from Toy Story somewhere on the cake. The cake was 4" round, which I calved into the shape of a hat. I added a little Gum Tragacanth to some sugarpaste to create the base of the hat, and used rolled up tissue paper to keep the edges curled up. Then I did the same with the gum tragacanth to create a gum paste 3d model of Woody to sit on the top of the hat. All in all I was happy with the result, even if there were a few mishaps along the way. (his arms and legs fell off!! But I managed to 'glue' him back to together).

Tattoo Wedding Cake
A tattoo artist requested a bespoke wedding cake for her and her partner, with very specific tattoo designs. The cake itself was a plain maderia sponge with Strawberry Conserve and vanilla buttericing, covered in a Ivory sugar paste. The tattoos were etched onto sugarpaste plaques, coloured with colour pastes and dusts, and the entire cake was finished off with yellow roses, to match the Bridesmaids Canary yellow dresses.

Gruffalo Cake
I invested a lot of time, attention to detail and love into this cake for my Son's 4th birthday. The characters I made out of Sugar paste with some added CMC to create a modelling paste. Each one took me around an hour - to get just right. I made all the small details first, like the toadstalls and butterflies to ensure once I'd finished the larger characters I could add extra finishing touches.
