Super Why Cake
My friend's daughter is obsessed with Super Why so I made her this cake for her birthday. I was going to do the pen and book too but ran out of time when I had to bring my husband to the ER that night. Whoops! Still turned out cute though - this is my second stacked cake and I used SPS. The faces are made from straight fondant.

Junie B Jones "monster Under My Bed" Cake
I had never heard of Junie B Jones but my friend's daughter requested a cake that looked like the cover of her "Monsters Under My Bed" book. This is my first figure gumpaste work and boy did it take forever! I did use a mold but it was still very time-consuming. I had the worst trouble with this cake - my fondant kept tearing. I think I covered the tears pretty well but still annoying. This is also my first square fondant cake so that might have something to do with it!

Adoption Anniversary Cake
My friends were celebrating the official 3rd adoption day of their little boy. 6" chocolate cake, chocolate bavarian cream filling, buttercream with fondant accents. They told me "orange, blue and yellow" with stars if possible. I used a bubble tea straw with melted candy melts to hold the wires.

Elegant Purse Cake
This is my first carved cake and my first purse cake. I followed Sharon Zambito's DVD (Sweet Luxuries) and I think it turned out really nice! The bottle is solid green chocolate covered with edible pearl spray. Pound cake, buttercream filling, ganache frosting and fondant. The flowers are RI and gumpaste made in my Wilton classes. Since I just made it for practice, now I have to figure out what to do with it!
