I made this cake for the farewell gathering of a co-worker who is being deployed to Iraq. Stenciled stars on top & sides. "Buttercream dream" recipe from this site earned lots of compliments on taste!!
For my friend's shower / bachelorette party, I used the pink champagne cake recipe found on the CC site and decorated it with a beach theme since she was getting married in St. Lucia. Got the tiara template (made with royal icing) from the CC site too! Veil is attached but hard to see in pic. The sand was made with demerara sugar and water was piping gel to which I added blue food coloring.
