Blue Poodle
The "Blue Poodle" is constructed using one 10" cake , one 9"cake ,one 8"cake and a the wonder mold covered with fondant. The head is carved from styrofoam covered with fondant. I used my airbrush and a lot of disco dust to bring my poodle to life. The fur is cotton candy!!! This cake was fun to make and my niece loved her birthday cake which is the most important thing.

Disco Cake
I made this cake for a little girl as a request for her 9th birthday. The disco ball spins on top of the 8" tier. I didn't want to secure the disco ball to the cake until we arrive at the delivery location. This was a requested cake for a child thought to be terminally ill, during the week I found that it wasn't the case. I decided to deliver the cake anyway. I can't blame the child! Sorry I had to vent!

Root Beer Float
Made this for my niece. She wanted a root beer cake! I used 5 8" layers with strawberry filling. The ice cream scoops are fondant covered styrofoam airbrushed ivory! Over cooked poured sugar runs down the dowel. Not my best work, but this was a short notice cake, i only had a few hours to complete it. I even used box mixes. Shhhhhhhhh! She loved it! Thank god for kids!!!!

Apple_Cake_Small.jpg
This cake was made for a friend who is retiring from teaching (lucky her) after 32 years of service to the kindergarten children she loves. Small 8" pound cake carved into the shape of an apple. I used styrofoam for the bottom half and shaped that first. I then doweled and hot glued the styrofoam to my cake board. The dowels act as my support, I hammered them into the board. I used a piece of cardboard covered with press "n" seal to separate the cake from the styrofoam. It is all covered with a crumb coat of buttercream and then a thick coat of chocolate ganache. Once that was firm I placed a layer of white Satin Ice over it. I used my airbrush to create the colors. Thank you Sally (tinygoose) for all your help and inspiration.

Beer_Mug_Small.jpg
This cake was made for a young man's 21st birthday. It is five, 8" layers of WASC with strawberry filling and buttercream frosting. I used a layer of dark chocolate Satin Ice and a layer of white vanilla mixed with yellow to wrap the cake, this gave me my base color my airbrush did the rest of the work. I then used poured sugar to cover the wooden dowel that is in the center of the cake. My husband made a large wooden circle and attached a wooden dowel in the center. We placed a cake board on top and then added the cakes. The foam is made by using mini mashmallows. The beer bottle is an actual Coors Light (my husband drank it ). Pretzels are the large soft pretzels I baked up for extra decorations. Now the handle was a big pain, I only made one and it came out great, but somehow over the course of the night it broke. The handle you see is styrofoam. It was much to heavy.......
