Wedding Figures
I was asked to make & ship these figures to a bride to be who lives on the other side of the country from me - shipping them off today - fingers crossed they make it in one piece as I've never tried this before but the bride was insisting she would be fine if there were any accidents! The bride & groom each bring 2 kids to their new family & wanted them all represented on the cake!

Max & Ruby Cake
Bottom of cake is lemon with lemon curd filling - roof portion is chocolate with cookies&cream filling. Tried playing a bit with the board by making the picket fence around it - I like to make it a little more special than the silver board :) - cake gave me a bit of trouble as the lemon curd was slippy so had to let it firm up & then it was humid in the house so the back part (front door part of house) slid a bit but I managed to hide it.....

Darth Vader
Thank you to rockstarcakes, Gillicious, & Sue for all your helpful instructions! this is a chocolate cake with Cookies & cream filling. The round portion in his mouth is a speaker (it played the Imperial March)- I worked all the electronic components into the styrofoam bottom portion of the cake (the customer didn't need a cake as big as the instructions called for)....The bride kept this as a surprise until the end of her wedding (after they cut their wedding cake) & the groom wouldn't cut this one! He took it home to eat after their honeymoon...if he lets her cut it then!

Optometry Clinic Grand Opening!
I made this cake for an Optometrist who was opening a clinic - I looked on CC for references & found a lot of eyeball cakes - but that wasn't what the customer had in mind. I decided to try my hand at making a pair of Tortoise shell glasses - lenses made out of poured sugar. Glasses cases inspired by two cases I have at home! Vanilla cake with strawberry filling. Business cards done using edible images.

Tangled Cake
This is a cake done for a friends daughter - he was so nervous to drive it home - he joked that he was going to get some of his police co-workers to give him an escort to get it home safely. I loved that the dad was so giddy to give it to his daughter! It took me 21 hours to complete this (my longest time yet). I incorporated a soundcard in the cake that played one of the songs from the movie when the "rock" was lifted...the little girl was apparently in love with it!
