Grandpas Surprise Cake

My grandpa is turning 93. He asked my mom if I was going to make his birthday cake. She told him no, that his other daughter would be. He REALLY wanted a special cake like I made for others (kids) in the family. So he gets what he wanted. Grandpa is on a rice krispy treat chair, a diet pepsi in hand, a remote in one pocket of the chair and his best buddy, his dog Fergus by his side.

Fishin' For A Man!

I made this cake for a friend of mine. Her mom just moved up north and she said she wanted to do two things... Learn to fish, and catch a man.. It's marble cake. I made the dock out of graham cracker and make fondant wood. The figures are fondant and the water is Piping Gel tinted blue. The tree is rice krispy treats.

The tiers are chocolate and the sheet was vanilla cake dyed baby blue as a surprise. Snoopy is on the cake because that was her husbands favorite. My First Fondant Cake

I wish I could remember where I got the idea for this cake. This was for a friends daughter who was turning one!! The humidity was awful and the flower just wouldn't stand up but they loved it.. Not too bad for my first time I guess!
