My first attempt at a cake this large any help with keeping one this big from buckling? I used tons of dowel support but it still leaned.....all made out of mmf hand cut all shapes my first big bow as well any suggestions on technique would be well appreciated thanks.
I made this cake for my cousins 25th that's why i made the front dice read 2-5 lucky seven. my first try at people not very well done deff need more practice. Any suggestions for keeping the arms and feet from dropping I tried floral wire not a good idea....all done in mmf. I painted the green on to give it more of a table uneven color. thanks for looking.
this was a cake done for my prima 15th b day. I basically followed the dress cake tutorial then did a square tier with about 100 cupcakes and little fondant dresses on top of them. the top was made to mimic her real dress and her colors were black and green. all in mmf.
this is 9in rounds on top of 6in round with rice treats to round out the shape under the 6in round support. all done in mmf the white is covered in sugar to make the rim look like it was dipped the curl lemon peal to cover seem very strange to cover this shape so not as clean work as i would like.

This is for teirs of 2in bread pan cake covered in embossed mmf.gumpaste flowers and shoes. I need advice on how to get even rolled out edeging... done in pink and bule... for a dual baby shower.
I made a simple one layer yellow cake into a classic channel wallet. Made the symbol and heel out of gum paste. My first heel, I used a simple template I got ofline then used colored surgar to make it look more fancey with a gumpaste bow. The wallet is fondant with quilting then I painted a light amout of water of the whole cake to give it the leather, shiny look without using a steamer that might have melted the cream cheese frosting.

I hand to hand carve out these pieces to fit the pattern she had chosen. I did fondant flowers because I wasn't given enough time to make gum paste flowers.
I thought that animal print fit the theme the best, plus my aunt loves pink. all in fondant and a sugar bow. fondant roses i felt that gum paste flowers would not fit the feel of the cake.
My first try with sugar flowers and multi layers....simple design but I like big statements and clean lines.
