80Th Birthday Cake
I can't take credit for the design of this cake, but I can't remember where I found it online. I made this for my grandma's 80th birthday cake and she absolutely loved it! The hat boxes are covered in fondant, the magnolias are gumpaste, and the frames are gumpaste with edible images.

Proposal Story Groom's Cake
This cake tells the story of how the couple got engaged. They went fishing at the lake that they had their first date by and he proposed. I hand made everything for this cake. The truck is cake covered in fondant. The sign is gumpaste, the people are gumpaste. For the trees I used a wooden dowel that I covered in fondant and the branches are made of dried spaghetti noodles that I piped with royal icing to give them the cypress tree look. The cake is iced in buttercream.

Groom's Cake
This was a groom's cake that I made. He is a chef and looks like the guy in the movie Ratatouille, so he wanted me to make the little rat, Remy, as the cake topper. Because I live in South Louisiana, Remy got a little overheated on the delivery and started to crack pretty bad. I was nervous this would happen, so I brought some buttercream with me and put hair on him. I would prefer him without the hair, but I'm still happy with the way it looks. As for the hat, it is 6 layers of eight inch cakes. I stacked it because I didn't want to take any chances of it falling into itself.
