Blossom Christening Cake
Thanks to Kim from cupcaketastic for permission to recreate her lovely blossom design which has been done so beautifully by a number of people on Flickr. For a little boy who was celebrating his christening and first birthday on the same day. 12" and 10" chocolate mud cake with milk chocolate ganache.

Baby Block
My first block cake I tried for a friends new baby boy with an "H" name and a red and white bedroom. In the end I was not happy with it so did not give it to my friend. The red edges were not neat enough. But it was good practice - think I will stick to normal cakes. Cake is 6" square vanilla filled and iced in chocolate ganache and fondant covering/detail.

Tall Cake
This is a bad photo! (I might try for a better one in the morning light) but it is an 8" tall, 6" round alternating layers of white chocolate mud cake and milk chocolate orange mud cake with dark chocolate ganache filling and covered in fondant. My piping skills really need practice - much harder than it looks to get nice straight lines!

Eric Carle Cupcakes
I made these for my daughter's kindy class who have had an "insect" theme all term and have been reading "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" along with other Eric Carle books. The cakes are vanilla with chocolate ganache and fondant 'insects'. They are not as neat as I would have liked but I don't think the kids will care - as long as they can eat the sugar!!
