This cake was inspired by the steampunkesque music video Tonight, Tonight by The Smashing Pumpkins. It is really weird/fascinating and I suggest taking a look if interested. (Just search Google). The video is inspired by a 1902 French black and white silent film called A Trip to the Moon. The blimp/submarine thing is RKT. All decorations are fondant and gum paste. Gears were painted with luster dust and the 10 cake is hand painted with gel colors. The 8 bottom tier is covered with fondant and then covered with reflective scrapbook paper (which is the only inedible decoration besides the circular frame). The base is cover with fondant and carved and painted to look like wood. This was definitely a labor of love for me it took forever, but I had so much fun doing it! Thanks for looking!

Brewer's Cake With Racing Sausages
I made this cake for a big tailgate. I used cake recipes by macsmom and others from the gourmet flavors thread. They were all alcohol themed: Car Bomb (Chocolate Guinness cake with Irish cream filling), White Russian (White Russian cake with chocolate Kahlua filling), and Amaretto Cake with amaretto crème filling. They were all so delicious thanks everyone that posted to the thread! The field was decorated with buttercream and crushed graham cracker for the dirt. Everything else was done with modeling chocolate. It was my first time making and using modeling chocolate and I loved working with it!

Wisconsin Football Helmet
I made this for my friends birthday. He is a huge Wisconsin fan especially football. It was alternating pound cake and chocolate cake. I ended up using a vegan cake recipe because I didnt have any eggs. No one noticed lol. Helmet decorations are fondant and the grass is RI. I made little football cakeballs with the cake scraps.
