Shark Cake
This is a cake I made for a friend's 10 yr old son. The cake is chocolate with chocolate BC filling. The shark was made with RKT covered in white chocolate and then covered with Satin Ice fondant. The rest of the decorations are fondant with gumpaste. Gratitude and a big thanks to all the CC folks who have posted their shark pictures! You all were my inspiration!

St. Patrick's Cakeballs
I experimented this weekend with a St. Patrick's theme cakeball. I mixed chocolate fudge cake mix (with the extender recipe) & a package of chopped Ande's mint chocolate candy with some BC frosting. Coated in Merken's light chocolate and a drizzle of Merken's light green melted wafers. Also decorated with some sprinkles. They turned out fabulous! The mint was tasty but not overpowering. It was a big success!

First (And Last) Wedding Cake
This was my first wedding cake. I did it for a friend. It was the hardest cake I've ever made. There was so much to consider and the stacking was all pretty new and super crucial. I owe my sanity to Sharon Zambito for her excellent CD "Successful Stacking". I'm pretty sure if it wasn't for her CD, this cake would have collapsed. I think from now on I'll just stick to one tier projects. ;) It was BC with black fondant ribbon and gumpaste cala lily.

Valentine's Painter Bear
This is a gumpaste bear. I found the shaggy bear tutorial at: http://www.cakedecorating-secrets.com/video/how-to-make-a-shaggy-fondant-teddy-bear-inspired-by-michelle-cake-designs.html I adapted it to depict the bear painting a "I (heart) you" and getting the paint on himself too. The wording is a MAC font named 'Paint Peel' and printed out in fondant/gumpaste on the Cricut. I made this cake for my family for Valentine's Day. :)

My First Cricut Cake
It took FOREVER to tweek the process so that it worked but once it did I was thrilled! This is a lot of fun! Definitely a learning curve to this Cricut thing but the possibilities are very exciting. I love that I managed to get writing on a cake that is legible. :) The border and letters were done on the Cricut with gumpaste.

Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Cake
This is a cake I made today for husband's work. I wanted to try working on my stacking and I used chocolate ganache under the fondant. It is a doctored chocolate cake with peanut butter filling. The candies are held on with melted chocolate wafers so hopefully they won't melt. I added the figure just for fun. :)

Penquin Cake #2
This is another penquin cake I made for a friend's family for the holidays. Thanks to this site and members for the inspiration and ideas! Penguins and trees are fondant/gumpaste. The pond is tinted piping gel. The igloo is a round (Wilton ball) half cake pan covered with fondant. The snowflakes and dots on the side are RI with sugar sprinkles. I have a template that I used for the RI snowflakes in my gallery.
