Candyland

My 16 year old son requested a "candyland" themed cake for his birthday as it was his all time favorite game. He asked that I focus on his favorite characters which were Mr. Mint and Gloppy from the Chocolate Swamp. I only had a day to complete the cake, but he was thrilled.

Pink And Black Birthday Cake

For my Daughter's 13th Birthday, we did "A Day in Paris" theme. Everything was pink and black. White chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling, buttercream and MMF. She made the Eiffel Tower chocolate pops so I included that photo too.

Chocolate cake with raspberry buttercream filling. Large cupcake on top was used for the birthday boy's "smash" cake.

Vintage Hat Box

This cake did not photograph as nice as it looked in person. It was a yellow cake with hint of citrus with a caramel fudge filling. Yum.

German Chocolate

I knew my girlfriend loved German Chocolate cake. I had never made one before, but wanted to make it look special... this is what I came up with. It tasted deeelish too!

House Warming Cake

This was a delicious devils food cake with ganache filling. The entire cake was wrapped in fudge pirouette cookies which gave it a warm, rustic feel. Fresh flowers topped it off.

Elmo Surprise

Surprise! Elmo was the theme of the party. I sculpted him out of RK treats. Fondant and gum paste were used for the rest.

Cherry Blossom

Fondant, modeling chocolate branches and gum paste flowers were used to create the design.

Eragon Cake

I used the general idea of the book cover, but instead of having the dragon 2 dimensional, decided to have him popping out of the book. He is constructed of rice crispie treats, fondant, royal icing and gum paste.
