Red Carpet Nursing
Going away cake for a beloved nurse. Film reel is gumpaste and has edible gelatin film on it. Clap board is gumpaste and was inspired by the invite. Awards were modified out of a chocolate mold. Found a template online for the nurse hat. 25 Duff's roses to represent 25 yrs of service. Stanchions are bamboo skewers, and the rope is gumpaste that I did with my extruder. Loved doing this cake!

Castle For The Birthday Ball
We had a princess dress up party for my daughter's 5th bday. Made the turrets out of gumpaste. Dried them on TP and paper towel rolls, but pulled them out before I assembled the cake. I put individual LED lights inside the bottom of each turret so that they glowed. "Stone" path is made of edible chocolate rocks. So much fun!!

Beach Bound!
Flew this cake from Kansas City to Ft. Lauderdale (w/ a layover in ATL!), and it was my first wedding cake. Cake is totally inspired by cake_architect's Ivory Bliss cake...love that cake! I billowed the middle tier before we flew. The other 2 were only covered in MMF. I made the ruffled flower using a set of glass bowls that I found once we got to the condo, and then finished the bottom tier with the soft pleats. Didn't want to redo all of the decorating if the flight didn't go well!

Wine Bottle Cake
Wine bottle cake for a wine and chocolate lover. Bottle is gumpaste formed on a real wine bottle that was covered in cornstarch and painted w/ gel colors diluted in vodka. Label is not edible. Box and packaging are chocolate MMF. Thanks to Tsal and Pooky813 for lots of tips, as well as many other CC'ers who have posted many other pics and tips!

Palm Trees
Birthday cake for my best friend who loves palm trees! She was so surprised. MMF w/ MMF accents, brown sugar sand, real ribbon. Little palm trees on the side are Wilton candy melts and mold. The topper was my first attempt at palm trees. A bit tricky at first! Thanks to other CC'ers for their photo inspirations. Just saw a couple pics and winged it!
