My First Official Wedding Cake
I was a bit nervous about doing a wedding cake for my Senior Pastors daughter, but I went for it anyway. I did find that working with black fondant on a white cake is pretty tricky. Two layers chocolate - one layer vanilla. Vanilla BC. All Decorations made with fondant.

Queen Of Everything
This is my first pillow cake. It was for a surprise 50th Birthday party and I was told there was going to be 75+ in attendance. It was chocolate w/ vanilla BC and made with 2 stacked 1/2 sheet cakes. (I made an extra 1/2 sheet cake just in case this wasn't enough) This is the only pic I have at the moment but should have better quality pics soon. Thanks for looking.

Pop Monkey Baby Shower
This was for a friends baby shower. They are decorating the baby room with a Pop Monkey theme. The colors are green and pink and her favorite flowers are daisies. The monkey is made out of fondant. I took the idea of the marzipan baby mold that I saw on here and just made it into the monkey theme. 3 tier vanilla cake and vanilla BC with fresh sliced strawberries and some preserves wrapped in fondant. Thanks for looking! : )

This was my first attempt at making a fire truck. I made it for my friends son that just turned 3. My intent was not to hand paint the whole cake, but I ran into issues with my fondant and I was pressed for time. This is a marble cake with vanilla BC covered in fondant. Thanks for looking! : )

Hand Painted Marilyn Monroe
I was hired to duplicate my Marilyn Monroe cake for a graduation party. I kept everything pretty much the same as the first one I did except I used pink lettering and I used a pink rope border. All hand painted - It went much faster the second time around 1/2 sheet cake half chocolate - half vanilla

Christmas Guitar
Made for Trevor Hall's Christmas CD release party "Let your heart be light." I was inspired me to duplicate the album cover in cake form. Base is chocolate with vanilla buttercream - guitar is vanilla w/ vanilla buttercream. Guitar Neck, headstock, star, presents and candle holder is RKT Christmas ornaments - Dunkin Dounuts munchkins dipped in red chocolate and then rolled in red sugar for glitter effect. Battery powered lights and flickering candle. (non lead based) I made some rookie mistakes. My biggest one was that I forgot to add the wooden dowels for support which of course made the cake sag a lot. I pulled an all nighter to finish this cake an hour before the event started. Phew! Also because the "paint" was still wet I had some issues transporting it and moving it with it still being tacky. Had to do some touch ups when I got to the event. This was the most challenging cake I've ever done, but it was worth it to see my buddy's face. A special thanks to Doug for his help and ideas regarding the design and support system.

My First Attempt At A Wedding Cake
This cake was made for a mock wedding that I had to do for a group project at school. I'm still learning how to make proper roses. I think my my biggest mistake was not using thicker buttercream. Also, need to start wrapping my board with something since you can see the grease from the cake. Top and bottom layer chocolate - center - yellow Vanilla buttercream

So Good!
I copied this idea from Classiccake because my mouth was watering when I saw it. Plain and simple! This was my first attempt at making chocolate ganache. (Also my first time eating it) This was one of the best tasting cakes I've ever had! This cake was ALL Chocolate. Chocolate cake, chocolate buttercream icing and covered with poured ganache. The design on the top was simply a powdered sugar/milk type glaze, which ended up giving me a hard time. I should of used white chocolate! Oh well - it tasted awesome though! Oh yeah - ya can't forget about the chocolate dipped strawberries. Mmmm! Thanks so much Classiccake for your idea.

Marilyn Monroe
This Marilyn Monroe cake was for my sons girl friend sweet 16 party. This is my first time hand painting a cake. I found it was not much different than regular paint, except you can't make a mistake. lol Details - Half sheet cake (choc.), layer of strawberry filling, butter cream/fondant, hand painted with gel, top of cake covered w/ silver shimmer dust, once again I had to use cheap supermarket icing for border because I still do not have proper tools. :(

Tank Cake
This is the second cake that I've made. I was asked to make this for my 4 year old nephew. (Army themed birthday party.) I did not plan this cake out as well as I should have. I did not have enough fondant and because of time I was forced to piece together the left over fondant to wrap the turret, which made for a messy looking cake. I also wanted to decorate the base, but once again did not have enough time. Live and learn.

Skateboard Cake
(Sorry not the best picture) My name is Jay and this is the first time using fondant or modeling chocolate. (Basically, my first non- traditional cake.) I'm not a baker, but I have a long history in art. This is a replica of my brother-in -laws "Zero" skateboard. I had fun making this, but I also learned from my mistakes for next time. Over all I was pretty pleased with how it came out. I am hoping to try working with gum paste for my next cake. Details about cake: Chocolate w/ layer of strawberries - Wheels, large skull and letters are modeling chocolate - skulls and banner are fondant.
