This was a cake I decorated for Missouri State University's Theatre & Dance Department. The design was based on the poster for their production of the musical "I Love You Because". The cake was iced with whipped buttercream, airbrushed, and quickly drawn on free-handed with icing.
Charlie Brown and the doghouse are hand molded gumpaste with fondant accents. The snowflakes are piped royal icing.
1st Place, Adult Advanced, Confections at OSSAS. This is a sugar cookie hand cut from an original stencil I drew. It is iced with color flow royal icing and then hand painted with food color.
2nd Place, Adult Advanced, Special Occasion at OSSAS. Each side has a different Broadway Musical poster hand painted on gumpaste with food color. Includes Hairspray, Les Miserables, Wicked, West Side Story, Rent, Miss Saigon, The Lion King, Cats, and is topped with a dancer from A Chorus Line.
This cake won 2nd place in Adult Advanced Holiday category at OSSAS. It was my least favorite entry, so I'm surprised it won a ribbon. It's covered in fondant, and the toppers are all handmolded gumpaste or pastillage.

I know it's not a cake, but I had to put it in the gymanstics album! This cookie was hand cut from an original stencil I drew, and iced using color flow royal icing. It won 3rd place in Adult Beginner Confections at OSSAS 2005.
This was the first cake I had ever decorated. I entered it in the Oklahoma Sugar Art Show when I was 17 years old.
