Custom designed bridal shower cake to match the wedding invitation. All hand-cut fondant, no stencils - just eye-balled everything! Butterflies are made with PME cutters/embosser set then hand-painted.
Carved vanilla pound cake on top and chocolate cake on the bottom. All parts are edible. Tires are RKT. 30th birthday for a muscle car dude.
My own design made for a friend who loved the 80's!
For a 21 year old man, who was headed to Vegas to celebrate this big day.
Stencil and hand piped dots of royal icing.
edible images on sides. This looked great but later turned into my first cake disaster when the frosting sheets never really melted into the icing. The fondant edges on the purse were stuck onto the frosting sheets so they started to come off! Bad day for me.
First time using stencil. Chai tea cake with vanilla IMBC buttercream and MFF fondant.
By special request for my niece. Pikchu is made from gumpaste, cupcake from fondant. I used MFF for the first time and I love it! It can roll very thin and still cover well. She really loved this cake so I count it a success.
Chanel purse cake. Handmade gumpaste chain.
6 inch cake with hand-painted details using tiered plate stand for inspiration. I love the delicate painted details on the plates so much that I finally decided to try my hand at painting on fondant. It was fun and I'm happy with the way it turned out.
This was the biggest square cake I've ever made - 12 inches. It took a long time to get the fondant right to place on the cake so that all sides were covered. The musical notes were handcut and took forever but the birthday girl loved it and I was happy with the outcome too.
It was fun to practice fondant on a heart shaped cake. This is my first stacked cake. Too bad my son put his finger deep into the fondant on top! Gumpaste flowers. TFL!
I made this cake for practice. I'm on a stringwork kick! The scrollwork was done by hand. Thanks for looking.
Just made a small cake for my hubby and I for the sake of practicing. It was so easy to make the shells from molds and white chocolate. Next time I'll put some pearl dust on them. Ran out of time as usual with two kids running around. Thanks for looking!
For my 14 year old niece's birthday. She's a music lover and was excited to see this cake. She had requested I make the cake with chocolate glaze. It turned out just a little too thick so you can see the swipe marks. Keyboard is made of fondant with edible marker for the key.
Made for my new sister-in-law's birthday. My family hates fondant so I used buttercream for the white icing and it didn't turn out very smoothly. Will keep practicing. Otherwise, she was very happy with it.
Kids loved the icing! Parents enjoyed them too. Easy and fun to make with leftover icing and extra cake batter.
My first tiered cake and first wedding cake! Made for Course 3 finale.
