Happy Birthday!
This is my first try at a new fondant recipe I got from Jennifer Dontz's DVD. I was getting really tired of the marshmallow fondant inconsistencies. Thankfully I had no problems and this fondant doesn't dry out nearly as fast so I got to ENJOY myself taking my TIME! Her fondant was so much more workable and just MUCH easier to make. :) I'm converted!!! :)

50 & Fabulous!
I used mmf for the silver fondant, and pre-made satin ice for the black. To acheive the silver, I colored the fondant a light grey and then painted it with silver luster dust/vodka. It was streakier than i would have liked, and I did get some mild cracks in the silver (possibly the vodka/pearl dust dried it out?) I think an airbrush would give an even more flawless finish. Please give me feedback/advice on the ways of coloring the fondant that work well for you. Thanks!! P.S. the wine and glasses, grapes and numbers, are made with gum paste and then painted with food coloring/vodka.

3 layer 8" tier of almond cake, my first homemade dark chocolate ganache to fill, and buttercream under the fondant that it is covered and decorated with! This cake was pretty, but I am really notice that rolling out my fondant a little thicker than usual, can help with flaws like wrinkling.... I learn something new every cake!!
