Fall Wedding Cake
I did this cake for my cousin's wedding last weekend. There were 400+ at the reception and she wanted a cake to feed 400 (although, there was a whole sheet cake leftover...lol). Anyway, this was quite a feat! This is only my 2nd paid wedding cake and my first one I had to deliver and set up! The main cake was a 4-tier cake (12", 10", 8" and 6"), the two side cakes were 10" cakes. She choose chocolate pound cake, WASC cake and lemon cake. Each was filled with either raspberry, strawberry fillings or almond or chocolate buttercream. I also did 2 double layer sheet cakes (for a total of 200 servings) that were in the kitchen for "extras." I was so stressed over this cake and so happy when it was DONE!!! My mom is a retired wedding florist. She put together the silk leaf sash for the cake decorations and my cousin provided the monogram toppers.

Little Mermaid Cake
I made this cake for my daughter's 2nd birthday party this weekend. She is in love with the Little Mermaid movie and constantly talks about Ariel! The cake is Chocolate Banana Cinnamon Cake (from the Chocolate Cake Dr book) with a Caramel filling. Cake is covered in fondant. Decorations are fondant and 50/50 fondant/gum paste. I wasn't super happy with how Ariel turned out, but this was my first "person" fondant figure I had ever done...so it was fine for the purpose. At least my daughter recognized her :)

Christmas Cookies
First time trying the rolled buttercream recipe. I use the No Fail Sugar Cookie recipe from CC and loved that recipe!!! Will definitely use it again! Next year I'll try more "elaborate" decorations. I did the stockings for my twins' preschool class (each one has their name on it) and the trees are for their class too. Not hard to please a bunch of 4 year olds! The rolled buttercream was fun and tastes really good too!

Birthday Cookie
My twins DD's and I made this cookie for my SIL's birthday and took it to her at work as a surprise! They had fun helping. It's a peanut butter cookie and we used chopped up candy bars (leftovers from Halloween) instead of chocolate chips. So good! Flowers are royal icing and the rest is buttercream.

Sesame Street First Birthday Cake
Cake I did for my neighbor...her little boy turns one this weekend! She wanted a Sesame Street cake and I did Cookie Monster for his smash cake! Elmo, accents, starts and blocks were all made of fondant. Smash cake was done all in buttercream. I had fun with this one!

Baby Boy Baptism
I got the idea for the fondant cross based on a few pics I've seen here on CC. Thanks! The cake is 1/2 chocolate and 1/2 WASC with raspberry filling. Iced in buttercream with fondant accents. The sides have sugar pearls. I didn't really like the roses, but the customer wanted blue roses...customer is always right, right? :)

5Th Birthday Princess Cake
I did this cake for my friend whose daughter just turned 5. Her request was a pink princess cake with a crown. So, this is what I came up with. The "black" fondant accents are chocolate fondant (colored black) and the rest is buttercream. The crown and #5 was done in marbled gumpaste.

Flip Flop Wedding Shower Cake
The client ordered a "summery" theme cake, since the couple are going to Jamaica on their honeymoon. They are having a BBQ for the shower, so casual and laid back! The wedding colors are black and red. Flip flops are WASC cake covered in fondant and straps made out of gumpaste. Bottom cake is chocolate with PB buttercream and crushed grahams for the "sand!"

Bridal Shower
9x13 double layer chocolate cake with raspberry filling. For a bridal shower where the colors are Tiffany blue, white and black. I didn't have a swatch to go off of, and I think the blue ended up a bit too dark. It really was a LOT lighter before it sat for the day. I didn't have much "direction" on this cake, but the person who ordered it did like the basketweave. This cake is all buttercream. Thanks for the ideas from CC for helping me with this cake!

Baby Shower Cake
Made one of the famous "oh boy" clothesline cakes for my friends baby shower this weekend. You can't see it, but the front of the cake says "Welcome Tucker!" Cake is a yellow sour cream cake with white chocolate pudding filling...covered in buttercream and the clothes/basket are all done with MMF.

4Th Birthday Princess Cake
This is the cake I just finished for my twins' bday party tomorrow. One wanted Sleeping Beauty and the other wanted Cinderella. I had a really hard time figuring out how to incorporate the two. So, my awesome Wilton instructor made me the "glass slipper" and I put my daughter Cinderella figurine next to it. I did the castle out of fondant and put Sleeping Beauty by the castle. The flowers are gumpaste and put on florist wire...as are the flag pennants on top of the castle. One says Morgan, one says Reagan and the one in the middle has a "4" on it. Side decorations are fondant and the rest is buttercream. I was having a hard time with my buttercream crusting, so it didn't get very smooth. Oh well, the twins LOVE it and are so excited to eat it! I can't wait until Saturday!

Pooh And Piglet Blanket
I made this cake for my final cake in the Wilton Course 4. I asked my daughter what kind of cake she wanted and she said "Can you make my blankie?" So, that's what I did. It's this blanket http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380123571695&category=117022&refid=store The Pooh/Piglet was done in gumpaste and colored with Color Writers. The top is covered in fondant squares. The daisies on the side are gumpaste. The rest is buttercream.

Pig Birthday Cake
My friends' daughter wanted a pig cake for her 4th birthday. So, this is what I came up with. This was one of my first attempts at a gumpaste figure. This pig is gum paste, the fence is chocolate MMF and it's covered in buttercream "grass." The rest is iced in peanut butter buttercream...it's a chocolate cake!

Flip Flops Cake
This is my very first flip flop. They are on a 9-in chocolate cake filled with peanut butter buttercream and topped with crushed grahams (to resemble sand). The flip flops are mint chocolate chip cake covered in green/pink fondant. Straps were made of fondant/gum paste mix. All white piping is buttercream. The flowers on the soles were inspired by a design on our most recent rolls of toilet paper...lol! I traced them on the flip flop and piped them on there!

Princess Birthday Cake
This is my very first cake that hasn't been for a family member! It's for my friends daughter who is turning 4 this weekend! I have been taking the Wilton courses and just started Course 4! Having a lot of fun and becoming quickly addicted! Bottom layer is covered in butter cream with fondant accents...Darn Good Chocolate Cake with White Chocolate Pudding filling. Top layer is covered in fondant with fondant accents. It's a White Sour Cream cake with butter cream filling. Tiara was made with gum paste and was sprayed with silver airbrush. I added the jewels with royal icing (they aren't edible ones).
