Halo Birthday Cake
Halo birthday cake for my son. I baked a 10" round, one in an 8" pie plate, and another in a small stainless steel bowl. Then I stacked them off center. Frosted in buttercream and smoothed the best I could. I airbrushed the 10" round with green, the pie plate cake with yellow, and the bowl cake with red then blue. I sprayed over between colors for gradations of orange and purple. The trees are chocolate candy sticks with buttercream. Brown sugar for the ground on the 10". I piped the stars, clouds, rocks and grass with buttercream. I airbrushed the rocks a copper color. The figures are megabloks toys that my son wanted. Thank you for looking!

Pink Marbled
This was an experimental cake. I marbellized the fondant and sprayed it with silver pearl dust mixed with vanilla using my airbrush. I sprayed the fondant roses, too. This is an old wilton one cake, heart shaped, tiered cake, but I left the clear pillars and plates off. The fondant didn't smooth well, but I think that is because I've never done a shaped cake in fondant and I used really soft frosting.

Birthday Book
Book cake- Iced with chocolate buttercream, textured with crumpled plastic wrap, and airbrushed to give depth. The binding and other decorations are made from fondant, then painted with gold and silver pearl dust. The pages are strings of buttercream (mixed off white with light yellow lightly for variation of color). I used a water color brush filled ith black airbrush color to do the writing. The book used as reference was a D&D handbook. This is my son's 18th birthday cake.
