High School Musical
The bottom: 8inch dbl layer covered in almond buttercream. The top: 6inch dbl layer covered in almond buttercream. The accent pieces are mmf & the "popcorn" is just mini marshmallows cut & "painted" with diluted coloring. This was my daughters 7th birthday cake for her friends & it was a hit!

Bears Go Fishing...
My Dad is a teacher & had an author of a book coming in to his school. He asked me to make this for the luncheon. The book was about camping, fishing, etc so I came up with this. The cake is two bears, one big & one small. (Momma bear & baby bear) The bears are covered in chocolate buttercream. The are just sat on a thick board covered in foil then piped on "grass". The fish are the gummy fish & the fishing poles are skewers. The author didn't want to eat it! Haha

Wedding Dress
11x13inch pan. It's actually a dbl layer, but only one cake I just cut it in half. She didn't want a huge cake. The color is actually peach, as that was her wedding colors. It's covered in almond buttercream & accents are mmf except the beads on the top of the dress & at the waist line..those are dragee's (sp?)

Easter Basket
This is a 8in dbl layer with chocolate buttercream & the spaghetti tip for grass. The "eggs" are the malt eggs that are out around Easter time. I haven't really done any basketweaving & as you can see I need to work on that! It didn't help it was warm in my house & my frosting got really soft. There is an area that the rope border actually fell off so I just repiped some back on. :( Easter 2009

Baseball Birthday Cake.
This was for a friends husband who is a Detroit Tigers fan. The bottom layer & the middle layer (a baseball base) are just a confetti cake & the hat is chocolate. The middle & hat are covered in MMF. This was also my frist attempt at making a hat. I definately need practice on that. And the "sand" is just crush graham crackers.

U Of M Football Field
My friend asked me to do a cake for her Dad's birthday who happens to be a big U of M fan. I searched on here & found a cake just like this. (I'm sorry I can't remember the name. :( ) She liked that idea so this is what I made. It is a chocolate fudge double layer cake with buttercream icing. The "M", the field & the footballs are marshmallow fondant.
