Hellokitty And Lion King With Tiger Lillies
Birthday cake for my 2 grandchildren who wanted two different themes. This is what I came up with to meld them together. Flowers are gumpaste, characters are fondant, cake is covered with fondant. (My daughter helped sculpt the characters) I airbrushed the sky and freehand painted different African scenes on all four sides of bottom tier.

Purple Orchids
This was for my niece's wedding shower/going away party. It is a hawaiian/tattoo theme focused on her favorite color-purple. My first time doing orchids, but I had a good time doing it. Had grandkids running around the house and my 3 year old granddaughter swiped a chunk out of a perfectly covered fondant cake... but I was able to fix at the last minute, thank goodness!

Lucky Bamboo Wedding
wedding cake for my brother and his new bride, who like the color red. The bamboo is gumpaste, (she had sent him a heart shaped lucky bamboo plant at the office which I thought was very romantic and sweet, and also made a great theme for their cake) hearts are red chocolate flecked with gold. Top tier is a teardrop shape channelling the "ying yang"

Joey's Wedding Cake
For a decidedly "different" couple. The groom wanted something that would reflect his love of asian inspired designs and his art (which is spray paint... aka tagging and tattoos. Go figure) The top is a black gumpaste "love" symbol. The separators glowed, but it was daytime when the picture was taken so you couldn't see that. There are glowsticks on the top as well.
