An eyeball cake I made for my son's birthday quite a few years ago. I'm still not sure why I did, but it was neat-o. The cornea was made from plain gelatin and unfortunately it started to break apart after the cake sat out of the fridge for a few hours.

Bowl of ramen noodles for my son's 18th birthday a couple years ago. It didn't turn out as it was supposed to, looks a little sloppy and I'm terrible at writing. My son liked it, though.

Planet Earth Sweet 16
My daughter wanted a cake themed off of one of her favorite programs: Planet Earth, the Discovery Channel series. It was fun to make, lots of trouble though, from dried out fondant and edible markers purchased online to it leaning even though I put a ton of dowels in to support it. Grr. The gumpaste trees were not the greatest, neither were the likenesses of her dogs. The alien came out pretty cute, he and his spaceship are gumpaste and I used half of a plastic Christmas ornament to make his lid.

Peekaboo
I had so much trouble with this cake, the first using gum paste (it cracked), the first time using MMF (it just plain was miserable), and the bc holding the bow together melted because I made it too early and forgot to leave the AC on when I left the house! D'oh! But it was still cute to look at and the boyfriend liked it. Almost forgot, thank you Milal for the inspiration!
