Pastor Appreciation 2010
First time shot at making an open book cake...I was aiming at the old 'weathered' look...I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out; gotta work on a few minor details, but overall it came out really nice for my first time. All fondant with edible image scripture and airbrushing. TFL!!

Ok, here's my version of melting snowmen...thanks to cakeinfatuation for the inspiration and the tutorial!! They were very fun to make and EASY!! The only thing that I think I will do differently next time is cut the marshmallow in half next time...Some of the mms took up almost the entire cookie!! TFL!!

Pink And Brown Bridal Shower Cake
This cake was not supposed to be 'girly' but I don't think it was too girly...I think it came out great...this was my first attempt at a fabric ribbon bow topper (thanks to Susan!) I was pleased with the outcome and from what I hear so were the guests! The bottom was Red Velvet with chocolate ganache and the top was Red Velvet with cream cheese. All buttercream icing and fabric ribbon accents. TFL!!

Hummingbird Birthday Cake
Frozen buttercream transfer on buttercream cake. Cake is WASC with banana pudding and crushed vanilla wafers. I had to do that transfer three times before it worked out! This was my first time trying a FBCT, so I'm pretty pleased with the results. Sorry for the picture quality; I gotta get a better camera! TFL!

Hubby's Birthday
This was only my second cake to attempt after starting cake classes. I used M&Ms as 'jewels' and it was PRETTY SWEET! I learned a lot of lessons from this cake! But it was fun and it has been the only character cake pan that I have tried so far. It was actually made last year, I'm just now posting it!! TFL!
