It's dancey dance time! The main cake is designed to look like the Gabba's boom box, it is buttercream with fondant accents. DJ Lance is gumpaste. The minis started out as 4" rounds that were carved to an appropriate shape and covered in fondant. There were 20 mini cakes in all.
This cake was a challenge! It is difficult to see in the photo, but the entire cake is raised on 4 dowels and canted at an angle about 2 inches above the board.
This is a small buttercream cake for a 2nd birthday. The octopus is gumpaste and the dimensional coral is royal icing. All coral on the sides of the cake is hand piped and accented with fondant shells and sugar seahorses.

This fun guy was carved from red velvet and iced in buttercream, then textured and airbrushed. At the request of the birthday girl, his stomach was filled with gummy worms.
This cake won first in Groom's cakes at the Central Florida Fair. The cake is covered in fondant with hand cut flower and hula dancer details. The lapel required a lot of tylose for strength and shortened drying time. The hula figurine on top is made from gumpaste using moulds.
