My first ever doll cake. I wanted to just wrap it in fondant but the humidity was messing my fondant up too much. So I just made a bunch of flowers and stuck that to the butter cream. This is probably the cutest cake I've ever made. I wish it was for me :)
Bottom layer: Choco chip cake. Middle and Top: Orange and Poppy seed cake. Filled and frosted: Dark Chocolate Ganache. Fondant accents.
My first time using gumpaste, blossom cutters, veiner and luster dust. WBH Golden Butter Cake with Lemon SMBC. So far this is the smoothest I've gotten SMBC to be. Still working on it.
Made this for my nephew. He requested Jonas Brothers and he loves to play the drums. He is only 3 years old. This is my second fondant covered cake. Still having trouble with it though but I just need more practice. Inspired by the drum cakes I've seen on here. The jonas Brothers picture is obviously just a picture that I stuck on there. Close up of the cake. You can clearly see my mistakes. I tried to cover the bumps and tears with decorations, Mika is my niece. A 9" and 5" round chocolate cake, ganache filled and frosted and covered with fondant. The ganache wouldn't harden and I had a difficult time covering the cakes with fondant. My first time covering a cake with fondant and poured fondant. I need more practice! Thanks for looking!
