A Hunter's Birthday Cake
This cake was made for our pastor's birthday. He loves to hunt. When he does he takes his Bible/books to study. The story behind this tree is a recent hunting trip where he only had 3 rounds of ammo (thought he had more). He fired all three and still missed the deer. I have the deer running away (into the trees) as I wasn't quite sure I could accomplish making the whole deer and keeping him upright. The decorations are mostly edible. Deer stand is made of fondant and dowel rods and large tree behind stand is royal icing over straws/wires. Remaining decorations are fondant/royal icing/piping gel. Much inspiration was gained from CC.

Bekah's Shower Cake
This cake was inspired by sugarshack, but unfortunately my attempt at brown fondant was a disaster that was a crumbly mess. So I had to switch plans. This was my first 3 tiered cake. Sugarshack's flawless fondant dvd was invaluable in doing this cake. I only wish I had her stacking dvd before doing this cake.

Poodle Cake
This was for a friend who found the poodle part of the cake on another site. But that poodle had marshmallows for the fur and frankly was not attractive, so I modified it. It was for a welcome home puppy party. My friend loved it, and I thought it turned out cuter than I expected. Sheet cake is WASC with b/c and poodle is chocolate covered in fondant, decorated with bc. Bones are fondant.
