A Florist's Birthday Treat

I made this for my friend's birthday, who is a florist. It was my first attempt at making a cupcake bouquet. My poor bee didn't have wings at this point; they were added later. Although I need practice, I had a lot of fun doing it, and I can't wait to do another one!

Fazekas' 40Th Wedding Anniversary

9" red velvet with cream cheese filling; 6" heavenly dark chocolate with almond buttercream. This is the couple's wedding topper from 1968!

Kayci's High School Musical Cake

This is my first time using homemade MMF. The curtain is fondant and gum paste mixed together. I made the letters out of color flow icing. Characters are confetti from my local party store.

Jeb's Computer Cake

The bottom (pc) is a 9"X13" cake, and the top (monitor) is three 8" square layers. All chocolate covered in fondant. All pieces are made out of fondant, as well. Sorry, this is not the best picture, as the wax from the birthday candles had already melted onto the cake in some parts. The kids at party all thought the cake was pretty cool, but maybe a bit small to be a computer!

This was the first cake I covered in fondant. I made the flowers out of royal icing, and the leaves and dots are buttercream. Ribbon accent.

This was one of my cakes for a Wilton cake decorating class. The butterfly and ladybug are made out of colorflow; flowers are royal icing; cake is a thin layer of buttercream covered with a buttercream basket weave. I had so much fun decorating this cake!

Let It Snow

This cake is covered in fondant and decorated with fondant snowflakes with silver dragees. I made the bow out of a combination of blue gum paste and fondant, and then painted over it with silver pearl dust.

Fairy

This cake is iced in a blue buttercream. The fairy is also buttercream, except for the wings, which I made with colorflow. All flowers are handmade royal icing.

Polka Dot Sweet 16

This is a 3-tiered cake for a sweet 16 celebration. The bottom tier is black with white polka dots; the center is hot pink with the words "Tara's Sweet 16" written in silver and black; the top tier is white with black polka dots.
