Presentation Roses

The cake was supposed to fit in a floral presentation box, but the instructor didn't get the boxes to us in time. Oh well, it was fun to make! Vanilla cake with BC.... burgundy roses (my favorite!)

Baby Blanket... The Finished Product

This is the baby shower cake I learned in class. I added the roses and fringe to the blanket, but I think that next time I will add the fringe on the blanket before the blanket border goes on. Actually took it to DH's work for a baby shower (timing worked out, didn't it?) and they loved it.

Peek-A-Boo

This is a BC basket weave on plastic wrap placed on top of plastic baby... not quite finished, but it was a class project. The cake itself is coconut with pineapple filling and pina colada icing.

Cars For Nicholas

Edible image.. yellow cake with strawberry filling, buttercream icing. This was a hardf cake to do. I had to bake it twice, the first faslling all apart, the second breaking into quarters so I could put them together. My best writing so far!

Magicians Cake

this is a 4 inch diameter cake for the magician to produce in his act. Yellow with butter cream.

Q's Birthday

Doctored yellow cake (to lemon) with lemon filling and creme bouquet icing. Used 352 tip for petals and 16 tip for stars.

First Edible Image...

The first edible image..... chocolate cake with chocolate bavarian filling and white chocolate icing. My daughter's 9th birthday and she wanted Jesse (sigh) McCartney.

Red, White, And Blue....

Red, white, and blue Frendh Vanilla layered cake with Creme Bouquet BC icing. I wanted to try brush embroidery, ao since this was just for the family I tried on the stars. I have since discovered that you have to do the brushing after placing the icing one at a time, not after placing several stars and then brushing.

Girls Scout Bridging Ceremony

For our bridging ceremony from Brownies to Jr. Girlscouts I made cupcakes with creme de menthe icing and mint chocolate molded into the GS insignia.

Winnie

This cake was for my neighbors son who turned two. Tried to do a BCT, but it didn't turn out right, so I ended up transfering via wax paper and toothpicks and just piped in the colors. Turned out okay and the family loved it.

First Try At Gnache

Two 9x13 cakes, both chocolate. One filled with Raspberry, the other Chocolate Bavarian. The 8 inch heart is chocolate cake with strawberry filling. Chocolate BC basket weave . Weighed a ton! Was done for a bridal shower for a gal at my husbands work.
