Boy Or Girl???
This was for my own baby shower -- yes I di dmy own cake. Why not? I thought up the idea and wanted to do it so I did. My children are biracial so we spread little babies, both white and black, among the roses. It doesn't show up will bcuz this was taken with 35mm camera but the theme was: He or She, which will it be?

28 Cartoon Character Cake
All buttercram with buttercream transfers n top and edible image strips along the sdes. All together there were 28 different cartoon characters on this cake! I wish I had my digital camera back then so the detail would show up well. 35mm Just didn't capture all the hard work that went into this one.

Dora Horse
All buttercream. My daughter loves Dora, horses and rainbows so I combined the three for her cake. I confess I "cheated" by drawing the picture in pencil on a piece of paper, scanned that to my computer, printed an edible image of the drawing and placed it on the cake, then traced the drawing with black icing and filled in with assorted colors using the star tip. I didn't want t draw directly on the cake and risk messing it up.

My 1St Tiara Cake
After getting inspiration from the many tiaras @ CakeCentral (not to mention help in the forum) I made my very first tiara and my first pillow cake. I made my own template and used melted Merckens white chocolates and edible pearls fo rthe tiara. Everything else is fondant. I made some mistakes along the way , but if there's anything I've learned in my years of cake decorating, it's how to cover a flaw! (hence, the pink drape) I gave $70 as the price. (It's a 1/2 sheet cut in half and stacked)

Mom's 50Th
A friend wanted a very special birthday cake for her mom's 50th. I decided to go with black because it's a bit different than the typical lue/yellow/pink birthday cakes we so often see. I iced the cake in buttercream, used a small heart pan to mark the heart in the center, and then covered the rest in black cornelli lace. I used cookie cutters, filling them with buttercream- then freezing- to get the raised numbers. I painted those with a mixture of gold luster dust and clear vanilla. Then I added red roses

Tinkerbell
Tinkerbell was frozen buttercream transfer. I used wilton's food color sprays to get the purple color and liberally applied clear cake sparkles all over. You can't tell by the picture but she's supposed to be sitting on a mushroom. I was going to add all kinds of flowers and stuff but... it didn't happen.
