Birds And Leaves Baby Shower Cake
This is a baby shower cake I made recently. It's design is based on the baby shower invitation. Cakes are covered in fondant. The branches are chocolate fondant. Birds, leaves and flowers are gumpaste. The nest on top is actually edible and is made of baked sugar cookie dough. I found a tutorial online for it. Teddy Bear Baby Shower Cake
These are both chocolate with Satin Ice fondant (10 inch and 6 inch). The bear was done with aine2's bear hugs tutorial, that's supposed to be a sleeping hat. The bow is Wilton fondant with tylose and the moon is gumpaste painted with nu silver lustre dust with vodka. Clouds and bead border are buttercream (I love BCD).

Teddy Bear Shower Cake
The cakes are chocolate with chocolate ganache filing (it's a 10 inch and a 7 inch). The cakes are covered in BCD with fondant decorations. The teddy bears were made from aine2's tutorial. Teddy Bears Take 2
My second attempt at aine2's Bear Hugs tutorial. Thanks so much to her for her encouragement. :-) These are going on a cake for a baby shower. I'm pretty happy with them but like always would change some things. Added a diaper to the baby bear. TFL! (BTW, sorry it's so blurry! I couldn't get a clearer picture...I think it looks better in person than in the pic, personally.)

Teddy Bears Aine2 Style
This is my first attempt at aine2's teddy bears using her tutorial. I think the tutorial is great but my first attempt is not all that great. I added a diaper to the baby which wasn't too hard but hard to see in this picture. I wanted to do these for a baby shower cake for a couple who is not finding out the sex of the baby. Will have to make another attempt on these. TFL :)

First Ganache Poured Cake...
Okay, not so happy with how this turned out. :( But I know my co-workers will like it. :) This is the chocolate stout cake recipe with ganache filling and ganache poured over. I messed up my second batch of ganache and it kept separating. First time using poured ganache.

Florida/beach Cookies
A collaboration effort with CrystalR. She did the cute margaritas, the suns and the starfish. I did the dolphins and the flamingos. We use NFSC and another sugar cookie recipe; also used Toba Garrett's glace icing. It tastes so good! I need to work on my cookie decorating skills. :)

Hello Kitty 2.0
I made a cake similar to this last Oct during Wilton Course II for my sister's b-day. I went to the South Florida DOS yesterday & brought this as my display cake. The cakes are chocolate covered in BCD. The bottom tier's stripes are made out of fondant. The top tier has fondant circles, fondant roses & other flowers are made out of RI. The Hello Kitty is a store bought marshmallow lollipop. I have gotten so much inspiration for this cake & the first from boween & many others. Sorry I can't name all. TFL

Cake From Fondant And Gumpaste Course
This is my first fondant drape and first rope border. Also, first quilting but it didn't turn out that great (the quilting that is). This is a cake that is chocolate with BC Dream filling and icing, all accents are fondant and the cake is covered in fondant. TFL

Birthday Cake
Idea for design of this cake came from cakesbyallison. Thanks to her. :) This cake is chocolate with fondant & fondant accents, bead border is buttercream, name plaque is fondant with RI beads and writing. I learned even more from working with this cake. This is my 4th cake covered in fondant. I love CC! TFL

Course Iii Tiered Cake
This is my third cake using fondant. It's ivory fondant (can't tell from dark picture), RI roses (two shades of yellow) and buttercream scrolls and bead border. I wasn't too happy with the top cake looking like a mushroom cap, I learned that I did not roll out the fondant enough, it was too thick and heavy. All in all, not bad I guess, and I learned a lot.

Holiday Bunko Cakes
Three dice for Bunko! These are chocolate cake with white fondant, black fondant accents, buttercream bead border. The ribbon coming out from under the cakes had laminated pieces of paper with numbers on them, we do a Chinese gift exchange at our holiday Bunko party. It was a different way of drawing the order for the gift exchange. A little crooked because I didn't have a 4-inch square pan, I cut them out of an 8-inch square pan.
