Isabelle's 5Th Birthday Cake
6,8,10 made for my little girl's bithday party. I made a pretty fondant number 5 for the topper but naturally, it broke in half just as I was putting it on the cake. I had some extra peonys that i had already made so I used those instead. I had planned to use the large flowers on the middle and bottom tiers but I didn't have enough room to perch them. I really need to plan these things out in advance before going all willy nilly on the day of. Buttercream with fondant decorations and flowers. the 6 and the 10 are 4" tall and the middle tier is only 3". She loved the cake and that's what mattered most.

Hannah Montanna
Made for a 7 year old Hannah Montanna fan. I was inspired by a cake made by Nytepyre but wasn't brave enough to try a portait in buttercream as she was. I made the Hannah Montanna logo by tracing it on parchment with cookie glaze, let it dry overnight and crossed my fingers that I could remove it to the cake seeing as I have no clue to what I'm doing. It cracked at the tail of the H but otherwise it worked alright. WASC with buttercream.

Wedding Cake Cookies...practice
Freehanded wedding cake cookies. I've always wanted to do some of these so this is my first try. Some I like better than others, some look like I have an unfortunate tick that can't be controlled. Sugar cookie, glazed one evening, let dry and the next evening I piped on the buttercream. I had come across a picture of some gorgeous wedding cake cookies the other day, they were a white background, red roses and green leaves, I wish I could remember who made them, she is extremely talented with a perfect eye for design. I was inspired by those cookies but I'm not as talented.

Thomas The Train Cake
First and only character cake I've ever done. Not too pleased with it, rather sloppy because the buttercream was way too soft. This is one of a few cakes I have done and I learned a lot, such as make sure to let the filled cake rest before icing it so it settles before you get a bump. Also, black icing is unforgiving and my hand drawing needs some work. BUT, it tasted great and the 3 year old loved it!

Pink Stenciled Sugar Cookies
My first go at stenciled sugar cookies. My cookie edges were a bit too golden in color but this was a practice run. I glazed, let them dry for a few hours and then used some stiff white buttercream and a small off set spatula. Next time, I will let the glaze dry longer and be more careful with applying the buttercream. These were really easy and I was done in no time though.

First Wedding Cake
I have made a cake here and there but this is the first real wedding cake I have done. For a person at work who snuck off and got married while on vacation. I was inspired by some really gorgeous cakes here on CC so I can't single out one person who influenced this one the most. WASC with fresh strawberry filling and buttercream. Two tier, although my skills at stacking are shabby so this thing was a bit unstable. I made the roses one night and froze them to plop on the cake later in the week. I learned to do the roses by reading a Wilton article and looking at the step by step instructions, my first few were embarrassing and most all of them are lopsided. People at the office didn't notice.
