Over The Hill
50th Birthday Party cake for my best friends parents. Their 50th birthday are only 2 weeks apart from each others so their daughters threw them a suprise party. Fondant/gumpaste figurines of the parents sliding into the graveyard. It was my first time making figurines. Everything is fondant/gumpaste.

Birthday Cake For One... Another Light
My best friend wouldn't let me make her a birthday cake because she wasn't having a party. So when she came over to design her mothers cake I gave her this! I used a 4 or 5 inch pan. Buttercream icing with splashes of luster dust and gumpaste daises and candle. This picture shows how the candle really looked on the cake, in my gallery there is another picture of how the cake really looked without flash.

Deb's 50Th Birthday Cake
This was my first attempt at doing a tiered "wedding style" cake. Everything went really well EXCEPT 3 hours before delivery there was a frosting disaster so I had to run to the store, come back and start making Italian Meringue Buttercream! I was a little upset that I didn't have any time to smooth the cake or put any borders on. So other than that I'm pretty satisfied. The topper is a wood "D" and silk flowers (there was also a gumpaste disaster and had to improvise with silk ones. )

Fender Cake
I couldn't decide which picture is the best so i'm uploading them all. I cut the cake from a large sheet cake. the neck is rice krispie treats. all of the decorations are MMF. the strings are angel hair pasta. I traced my brothers guitar to get the exact size/shape. This is my favorite cake that I have made so far. Took 3 days to complete. My guy and his family were very pleased with it. Also my first attempt at airbrushing.

Wilton Roses And Dots
I loved loved loved making this cake! I am the Instructor at A.C. Moore and I made this at a demo. The color is a mixture of rose pink and Burgundy. If you notice its the Cover cake for one of Wiltons Cake Decorating Books. Chocolate cake with buttercream icing and royal icing roses. I used the Wilton Decorator Preferred Press to make the vine impression on the side which I then piped over what seemed to be a million dots.
